Jiumei Hu

I’m passionate about bioassay development and microfluidic device design and fabrication. My PhD research at Johns Hopkins focuses on integrating microfluidics and molecular bioassays for infectious disease diagnostics. Moving forward, I hope to further strengthen my expertise in assay and device development while deepening my understanding of fundamental microbiology. I enjoy brainstorming ideas for innovative assay designs and engineering new diagnostic platforms. Outside the lab, I’m a proud cat parent to three chaotic but adorable furballs who make sure there’s never a dull moment at home.
